Ladakh

Formerly part of the Tibetan empire, isolated during the 17 th and 18 th centuries, and later incorporated within the Indian state of Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh (lies at an altitude of 9000 ft to 25170 ft above sea level) is an area where traditional Tibetan lifestyles merge with those of South Asia. Ladakh is a land like no other. Bounded by two of the world’s mightiest mountain ranges, The Great Himalaya & Karakoram, popularly known as, the land of numerous passes of mystic Lamas. It is the highest inhabited land of the world having peaceful Buddhist monks, medieval monasteries, fluttering prayer flags, pretty villages, cold desert, high passes, dramatic mountain sceneries & surrounding countryside makes this an unique experience.
