Darjeeling One of the finest hill resorts in the country, Darjeeling has always been a traveler’s paradise. Darjeeling is particularly known for producing world’s finest teas and for the splendid view of the Kanchenjunga it offers. The sceptre of Indra is believed to have fallen at a place where now stands the Observatory Hill. Darjeeling beckons thousands today for a leisurely respite from the bustle of the madding crowd. The traveller - whether a tourist or a trekker, an ornithologist or a photographer, a botanist or an artist - will find in Darjeeling an experience which will remain etched in ones memory – forever.

Kalimpong This is a beautiful hill town in North Bengal, which can be reached from either Siliguri or Darjeeling. KALIMPONG - means king's ministers strong hold - a Bhutanese word. Picturesque and pretty, with a hint of old world charm, The journey from Darjeeling to Kalimpong is a beautiful experience. The road drops from Ghoom 7407ft. to Teesta Bazar 700 ft in 12 km and passes through lush green forests and tea gardens. A place called the Viewpoint or 'Lovers Meet', offers excellent view of the confluence of the Rangeet and the Teesta rivers, as also of the Himalayan mountain range from Durbindara summit.

Gangtok Gangtok the capital of Sikkim is situated at a height of 5,500ft. A trendy yet traditional hill town, ensconced on a ridge flanking the Ranipool river, Gangtok at an altitude of 1870 m, is a destination that would lure anyone who has a taste for natural beauty and an inclination or interest in the Buddhist religion and culture. For it is a place that has beautiful monasteries, including the esteemed Rumtek - the head quarter of Kagyu order; vistas as breath taking as the awe-inspiring Khangchendzonga – the third highest mountain peak in the world. If you are flying to Bagdogra (nearest airport to Gangtok), opt for window seat on left for a glimpse of it.

Lachung For those who’re craving to get away from the maddening crowd, Lachung may just be the answer to their prayers. Situated at an altitude of 3,000 m, on either side of the Lachung Chu River, Lachung, which means ‘small mountain’, is about 125 km from Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. Away from the hustle and bustle of city life, this little hamlet has it all with snow-capped mountains, gurgling waterfalls, lush green forests and a serpentine river. Lachung is famous for its apples, peaches & apricoats.

Pelling Pelling is today emerging as the second biggest tourist destination in the state after Gangtok. Although in itself it is little more than a strip of road lined with hotels, its main USP is the breathtaking view it offers of the Khangchendzonga and surrounding ranges, as well as the easy access it provides to tourist spots in the area. The high and soaring mountains are not only pleasing to look at, they also provide dream setting for adventure lovers. There are some wonderful trek routes that pass through the wilderness to make your trip entertaining and memorable.

Lachen At an altitude of 8500 feet, Lachen is alluring in its simplicity. Not yet as big as a tourist destination as Lachung, it retains a freshness which is very appealing. The village comprises of less than 200 houses, earlier inhabited only during winters by their owners who spend their summers on the alpine pastures bordering Tibet tending to their yaks. Lachen is the starting point to one of the most interesting treks in North Sikkim as well as the gateway to the holy Guru Dongmar & Tso Lhamu Lakes. The area is restricted for foreigners, but special passes can be procured in advance. A few lodges are available here for stay as well as Forest Department and a PWD Bungalows.

Day 1 :
Arrive NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport. Meet our representative / driver who will assist you to board your vehicle to Gangtok (130 Kms – 04 to 05 Hrs). Arrive Gangtok & transfer to hotel. Evening at leisure. Overnight in Gangtok.

Day 2 :
After breakfast, start for excursion to Tshangu Lake - situated at a height of 12400Ft / 3780 Mts / 43Kms in 3 hrs one way, with an average depth of 50 ft. The cool water of the Lake is perfectly attuned with the scenic beauty around. Back to Gangtok and Overnight at Hotel. (In case of Landslide or due to any other reasons if Tshangu Lake is closed then an alternate sightseeing will be provided).

Day 3 :
After breakfast, half day (04 hrs) sightseeing covering Jhakri Water Falls along with Droul Chorthen, Research Institute of Tibetology (Closed on Sunday), Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom (Closed on Sunday) and Flower Show. Afternoon transfer to Pelling (116 Kms – 05 to 06 Hrs). Arrive Pelling & transfer to hotel. Overnight in Pelling.

Day 4 :
After breakfast we drive to Yuksom (5840 Ft / 1780 Mts, 35 Kms / 02 Hrs) on way panoramic sightseeing of Darap Village, Rimbi Water fall & Hydro Project, Khecheopalri Lake (6000 Ft / 1829 Mts), it is one of the sacred Buddhist mountain lake and it is believed that whatever is wished in front of the lake comes true. Myth is that when a leaf falls on the placid clear water surface, it is picked by a bird & Kanchanjunga Water fall. A further drive takes you to Yuksom (the meeting place of three monks) - the first capital of Sikkim. This was the place where the first Chogyal (a ruling dynasty in Sikkim) was crowned. Evening Back to Pelling and Overnight at Hotel.

Day 5 :
After breakfast, proceed to Darjeeling (125 kms – 5 to 6 hrs). Arrive Darjeeling & transfer to hotel. Evening enjoy market area & Mall Road. Overnight in Darjeeling.

Day 6 :
Early morning tour to Tiger Hills (8364 Ft / 2550 Mts at around 4 AM) to view sunrise over Kanchendzonga Peak (subject to clear weather). On way back visit Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop. After breakfast go for a half-day sight seeing of Japanese Temple, Peace pagoda, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park & Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Darjeeling Ropeway Ride (Ticket cost not included & will be approx INR 180.00 per person) Tenzing & Gombu Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center (Closed on Sunday) & panoramic view of Tea Estate. Overnight in Darjeeling.

Day 7 :
After breakfast proceed to NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport (100 Kms – 03 to 04 Hrs) for your onward journey. Tour concludes with pleasant & everlasting memories…
